The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trust celebrated its 40th anniversary on August 26, 2026, at the Sea Crest Resort in North Falmouth. More than 100 people representing most of the 39 member organizations of The Compact attended.
Two awards were given for excellence in open space protection: the Chaplin Award to Mon Cochran of Orleans and the Robinson Award to Tasia Blough of Brewster. Both were instrumental in founding the Sipson Island Trust and raising nearly $6 million to negotiate the purchase of the 22-acre island in Pleasant Bay and restore it to a natural landscape.
Mark Robinson was honored for his 40 years of service as Executive Director of The Compact.
